I have just heard of there sad loss of Brian Walker (G0OMB) from Workington.
He used to spend a lot of time over here, mainly in Peel area and would stay and operate with Phil Parker (GD4UQO), and was well known to a few others over here such as Harry Blackburn (MD0HEB), Dave Corkish (2D0RGW), he was also a big fan of 2 meter here on the Island, and tried to visit the Island as often as he could and was always available to offer some good advice and help to one and all when he could.
He was well thought of in the Workington area and was the Honorary President of the Workington Amateur Radio Club which he started many years ago.
Sleep well old friend…
I am now retired and living on the Isle of Man, my background is as varied as it gets, ranging from Information Technology to Graphic Designer and 3D VFX Artist, using and teaching Autodesk Maya, Softimage, and Smoke, one of more enjoyable positions. Since Moving to the Isle of Man I try to keep myself to myself and work on the house, I don't do much with regards to Amateur Radio or Electronics anymore, but I am still interested in the hobby and may well get back into it one day....
