Old Photo’s of Mostly Old Ham’s
Okay the Obvious Bit.
If I have put the wrong name in or completely not put a name in at all then I am sorry, just drop me a quick e-mail and I will sort this out.
I like it when I come across photo’s of Local Hams, this collection was passed to me by a friend, the quality of some of the Photos are a bit poor, but I have uploaded them anyway as they may include some Hams that I do not know.
The Press Cutting we assume was from Posted on 27th December 2001, I never used to get the Courier as we live too far off the main road to get it delivered, I do not recognise most of the names, I wonder how many are still active these days.

Bottom Right: We can See Dave Corkish (2D0RGW) setting up what looks like a 6m Beam but I do not recognise the location.
The Old Green Tower was sadly crushed to stop non-club members from using the Tower as it used to be lent out when people needed it such as when the German Cub members visited the Island because that is what kind Amateurs would do, but a Certain Few that took over the Club had Desided that they did not want this to happen anymore so it was Destroyed.

This looks like the Ol Club House in Lower Foxdale, not sure who these two where.

Bottom Left : Dave Corkish (2D0RGW), Harry Blackburn (MD0HEB), The next 2 are Unknown and finally Colin Ingles (2D0CFZ), The 2 wearing the SOTA tops which are Unknown would Visit the Island a lot, promoting ‘Summits on the Air (SOTA), I Used to know their names but my Brain is mush these days, So sorry that I cannot remember it.

Buy and Sell Event at IOMARS Club House
Another one taken at the 2010 IOMARS Buy and Sell Event on the Island.
One good thing about these Events used to be that you could sometimes grab a bargain at it is the nearest tht we get to going across for a HamFest of any size, especially as it costs a small fortune these days to travel too and from the Island.

A Press Cutting from the 2002 Isle of Man Courier, there is quite a few Characters in this one, thankfully as Ever they have Given the Names but messed up the Order Somewhat, I only know four of them (Frank Goldsmith, Harry Blackburn (MD0HEB), Ann Baillie-Searle and John Butler (GD0NFN)) so if anyone can Help with the Rest it would be great.
