Visiting Amateurs were always made welcome by Dawn Quinney (2D0EDQ) and Paul McGrath (GD0BCJ).
6th June 2007
Enjoying some sun after a hard day on the radio back in June 2007.
Just to show that our female operators can be a cut above the rest – Dawn Quinney (2D0EDQ) in action with a set of stunning leg… operating from the shack of Douglas Dodd (GD3RFK), in Regaby, Isle of Man.
Paul McGrath (GD0BCJ) was a good Amateur and always up for a chat with other Amateur’s, he is now Silent key having past away back in June 2022 after a hard flogged battle with throat cancer, his humour will be greatly missed by those that knew him. He made up for struggle of not being able to talk to well after having extensive surgery by working mostly on CW.
Good friend’s, Douglas (GD3RFK) and Margaret (GD4RFK) Dodd in Paul’s Shack. Always Cheerful and up for a laugh, these two have in the past been very active on the bands.

Johnny Harrison (GD4XWF) in Nobles Hospital showing that it is not just the women that have a great set of legs.
Sadly now also Silent Key.
This next group of photo’s looks like a copy of a copy, and I have tried to clean it up a bit, but we have here, going from left to right…
Johnny Harrison (GD4XWF), I am presuming his good wife, not sure but the middle looks very much like Margaret Dodd (GD4RFK), and then we have Ken Holt (WE3VC), and I am going to get told off here for not remembering names, but I hope Dawn will let me know at some point so that I can update this page.
Two good friends from the USA, they both became good friends with both Paul McGath (GD0BCJ) and Douglas Dodd (GD3RFK).
Herer a a few ‘Unknowns’ that I need to find out who they are, to be updated one day soon one hopes.
And finally here are a few from me….

I am now retired and living on the Isle of Man, my background is as varied as it gets, ranging from Information Technology to Graphic Designer and 3D VFX Artist, using and teaching Autodesk Maya, Softimage, and Smoke, one of more enjoyable positions. Since Moving to the Isle of Man I try to keep myself to myself and work on the house, I don't do much with regards to Amateur Radio or Electronics anymore, but I am still interested in the hobby and may well get back into it one day....
